I bought 2 x 3 packs for a trip to France so we can all charge our devices. Although the build quality is terrible. While they did a great job charging our phones, when we plugged in our laptops they would light up constantly and then not work at all. We burned 3 out of 6 trying to make it. Luckily both hotels we stayed in had different brands to borrow from and they all worked with no problems.

It was intermittent and made arcing noises. I opened it to find the problem. What I saw is an awful design. The connection between the metal on the side of the jack and the metal on the side of the plug is loose and not even spring loaded. Metal parts are hardly pressed together by plastic tabs that hold the case together (see photo). Certainly there is an arc at the point of contact. This is dangerous as it can damage your electronics and even catch fire due to the unstable arcing connection.

This has worked great all over ICELAND - REYKJAVIK, GOLDEN CIRCLE ETC. and my wife's family member to use their electronics (iPhone) for charging at the same time. Just use a regular US white USB wall charger adapter, but plug it in - if you don't know, Apple's regular US power adapter caters to all US iPhones with 110-220V 50-60K internal conversion, so need it only this Schuko so that the plug FITS ON THE WALL. No voltage issues when used to charge as described. Thank you Cheers!

Recently purchased for a trip to Portugal, Spain and Morocco. Although there are some regional differences in grounding plugs, they will work fine with either type of outlet in these countries. I was able to connect my auto-conversion chargers (chargers that operate on both 120/240 volts) with no issues and keep my devices fully charged and ready to go. I'm in Europe and this plug works very well. You can connect 2 products to it - one with 2 pins and the other with 3 pins (with ground). It was very helpful at times to have 2 extra pens on the side. Be careful when traveling to Italy or Switzerland. If you have a three prong product that needs to be grounded (hence the third pin) I wouldn't use it in Italy or Switzerland.
