Exactly what we were looking for

This light is exactly what we were looking for. It might be too bright, but it works great. The kit includes a remote control with 4 buttons - 1 to turn on/off the red indicator, 1 to turn on/off the yellow indicator and one to turn on/off the green indicator. Then another to toggle everything on or off. You can turn on individual bulbs, 2 or all 3 if you like. One downside that some users won't like is that it has to be hardwired to the electrical system. No problem - just buy a $2 plug at a hardware store and plug the wires in. It took me 2 minutes with a screwdriver. Then use an extension cable to connect to the network. Here's what we did. The light is very bright and it is a heavy device. I think some of the other reviews didn't make it clear how the light works. Lights cannot change color - just as there cannot be blue light. You get 1 red, 1 yellow, and 1 green. They can be turned on or off, and turning the yellow light on or off won't affect the green light, for example. If the green light was on, it stays on. Thus, both yellow and green light up at the same time. But green is always at the bottom, red is at the top, and yellow is in the middle. This is perfect for my home office in the basement. I placed it at the bottom of the stairs. When the green light is on, the kids can go downstairs. If I set it to yellow or red it works. When it's yellow, the kids can come down and play, but don't disturb dad. If it's red, no one can come down - I'm in an important meeting or at work and mustn't be disturbed. Perfect fit for my setup. For example, not suitable for the living room because the light is too bright and annoying. If you want it to be less bright, you'll have to replace the bulbs in it (don't know what kind of bulbs, but it looks like there are 12 bulbs/LEDs in each light panel).
