May not automatically detect the best output resolution

I used this to extend my cable box (which is connected to a 1080p TV is) to a home theater and projector on the other floor of my house to save on renting a second HD cable box since I never use a projector and TV at the same time. The TV has a newer 1080p input and the projector has an older 1080i input. I use a 1 to 2 HDMI splitter in my cable box so I don't have to switch HDMI cables when using the projector and therein lies the problem. The cable set-top box is automatically tuned to the best possible 1080p TV output, but the projector was unable to decode it. The solution was to manually set the cable TV output to 1080i. This kind of "dumps" the output for a 1080p TV, but it's the only solution. The HDMI splitter wasn't a problem because even with the extender plugged directly into the cable box and projector, the cable box didn't automatically detect the required 1080i projector output. Apparently this feedback isn't going through the extender, so the short story: if it's not an HDMI signal handshake, make sure you MANUALLY set the output to match your display's input. If you split the signal between two devices, one of which is 1080i, you have to manually set the output signal to 1080i and the quality of the 1080p device suffers a bit. Note: I extended using 100ft Category 7 cable. I don't use the IR extend function as my wired remote is a radio and I can get to the wired box without it. Hope that helps

Additional receivers (Part # HDbitTv2-RX, Ver. 2.0) are sold separately. *Important Note*: HDbitTv2 (this kit, version 2.0) is NOT backwards compatible with the previous version and its receivers (RX)
