I only gave this 4 stars because it is not perfect. However, it is a great thing. I had to drive 2,000 miles with two dogs, one of which was shedding badly. My car has dark cloth seats. This cover kept him from harm. The ends, which zip to secure your doors, are a bit short and I've found my dogs can still drool on the door, but this prevented most of the mess that could have happened. It also kept her nails from scratching the vinyl! Getting your hair off the cover is not easy. I used a vacuum and shook it. Didn't try to wash. Most hair fell out. Hair can get under the waterproof "cushion" they sit on, but that's a minor thing for me. Overall it protected the interior of my car and I would definitely recommend this item. I have a Ford Escape and it suits me.
