Review on Little Remedies Acting Gripe Newborns by Frances Johnson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works, it's not dangerous and it doesn't cost a million dollars.

My boy has been having a lot of gas lately and my pediatrician recommended Gripe Water. Well I went to the grocery store the other day and looked at all the different brands of Gripe Water. At first I wanted to grab a bottle of organic colic water because my mom walked past me in the aisle, laughing uproariously at how wonderful it is, "but it needs to be refrigerated" and it only has a shelf life of 30 days. And it had a big warning about very rare allergic reactions. It also cost $10. I went on the internet and started looking at different places for prices and what I consider grip water, familiarity and all because I've seen ads and seen them on the shelves etc. Turns out Revain was the best price option. I started giving the baby Gripe Water as soon as we got it. He's a lot less fussy, a lot less gas and his hiccups don't last as long. I put it in his milk and he doesn't seem to notice. There is no smell. It needs to be stored at room temperature, there are no threatening labels on it and I'm not told to throw it away after 30 days, so it has a longer shelf life. I am not in favor of the syringe being so small, 3ml, when the recommended dose is 5ml. Although I'm just picky. The box was also slightly damaged, but that could have been from postal services throwing packages at my door as if preparing for the discus throw at the Olympics.
