On my first attempt at making a mouth strip, I let it sit in boiling water for about 5 seconds and it completely melted into a goo. So I tried again and this time I counted to 3 and again it stuck to my wooden spoon and completely lost its shape. Something like wax. So I tried a third time and let the water cool for a few minutes before submerging the protector. But the same thing happened. The guard got so thin it was like chewing gum. or texture like Laffy Taffy. It sucks. I could kind of make one, but it's so free I feel like I'm about to shut up. Don't buy this. If you suffer from bruxism or a temporomandibular joint disorder, it is best if we have a professional make a splint that fits your mouth perfectly.
