We know a thing or two about LED lights and we buy quite a few industrial vanity lights. We thought we'd try them out for a job site where the light would be left behind and only temporarily. The first thing we noticed was that contrary to the description, the ENTIRE body and wings of this device are made of ABS plastic, not aluminum as advertised. This raises a number of questions, the most important of which is how the plastic housing dissipates the heat of a 12,000 lumen fixture. Apparently this isn't a problem as the advertised 12,000 lumens are nowhere to be seen. even nowhere is CLOSED. We checked the power - it should consume 120 - 160 watts (depending on which line you read in the description). It actually draws 32.2 watts (peak) and has a measured lumen output of 2876 lumens per meter, not the advertised 12,000 lumens. If you compare it to another brand at 8000 lumens you can clearly see that this thing has a little more light output than a standard LED. blub. We hooked up 10 of them to give them a good pick up and got the same output levels from each. Two units installed by our technician in our high rise lights broke at the base just 30 minutes after being turned on and attempting to remove them, resulting in us having to turn off our entire circuit of lights while the broken bases were removed. Please see the images (please note the order of the images may vary as Revain does not appear to be controlled) - lowest is a standard 23w LED bulb (equivalent to 100w), second brightest is this item (just slightly brighter than an LED bulb). , the brightest shows a device with a nominal light output of 8000 lumens from a well-known supplier. You can see this item will NEVER come close to the intended light output. Overall I would advise avoiding this particular brand and seller. Having sent two emails to the seller over 48 hours ago with no response, I suspect their customer service is just as bad as their product. They should not be allowed to make such completely false claims about their products on Revain.
