This router was purchased to provide separate virtual networks for different classes of devices. Replaced the three-router configuration otherwise required to securely separate (notoriously insecure) IoT devices, guest networks, and other required networks from the secure main network. The ability to failover to a secondary ISP when the primary is down without having to reconfigure all devices on the network. The problem I have with the router is related to the usage time. Devices turn off after 24-48 hours of connection, which requires a router restart. TrendNet Technical Support suggested resetting to factory defaults and adding one VLAN at a time. I didn't have time to go through the recommended troubleshooting period, so instead I implemented a timed reboot so that the router reboots every day in the middle of the night. EDIT: After 11 months of use, the router is now constantly losing internet connection and restarting. I accepted the 24-hour break because I didn't want to play around with a replacement beforehand. Now we are waiting for TrendNet to take care of their faulty products. Will check again once this is fixed.
