The main reason I bought this matte stripe window film was to use it on a window that faces my neighbor's back door and garage - our homes are very close and I felt a little unsafe. I've tried keeping the mini blinds up, but I also have kittens; Cats can destroy mini blinds and I wasn't willing to spend $40 on more expensive blinds. I came across this particular strip film while looking for an instant fix after removing the damaged mini blinds. This item arrived quickly, is so easy to apply, looks great inside and out, offers a degree of privacy and definitely worked for me. The strips give the impression of partially opened mini blinds and the transparent film between the strips helps to hide the outside view during the day. If you want total privacy with the lights on at night, then this film isn't for you. I close the curtains at night and enjoy the sun during the day. Cats and dogs can look out the window without breaking it. This is an adhesive sheet, not a sticker or contact; easy to remove or adjust. It was a cheap and easy solution for us. Love how this design looks.
