Reliable hardware, well made, no tags - feels like it's overloaded. Optics and stand are excellent. Focuses clear and sharp. The zoom exceeds the requirements for testing electronics and should work well in a biology classroom setting. The documentation is weak. My device was in split screen mode, I had no idea how to turn it on and how to exit it. The device has different modes, the documentation doesn't explain them very well (another reviewer did this work above!). I use a Mac, but there are similar complaints about the software that comes with it. If you're figuring out how to use it and what software to use it with, this is top-notch hardware. With available coupons, you can get one for $104, which is hard to beat. The device also offers battery support and can save images to SD cards, which are additional features that I don't need but find useful.
