I was surprised at how durable the bag was. I expected him to be unreliable, but my 12 pound Chihuahua mix has proven to be quite reliable. The handles are thick and made of durable material. As for the bottom, it's not expected to be that comfortable for my dog (since it folds up) so I just added some padding and a blanket and it seemed comfortable enough for travel. Please note I will not keep my dog there for more than an hour as I bought him to take him on the train. For longer trips (2 hours or more) I would not recommend storing your furry friend in such a bag as it would be uncomfortable for my dog personally. But you know your pet better :) I'd probably use it for short trips, shopping trips, maybe if there's a food festival or event that involves a lot of walking so you can just put your pup in here when he gets a little tired , but still wants to see what's going on. I love that you can fold it up and store it away. The fact that it's so compact makes it easier to take my dog with me without worrying about having to carry him around.
