Revain "Will this fit your vehicle?" states it will not. The part is listed for several GM models including the 3.7 liter engine. I compared this to my old pump. They have the same dimensions. After 139,000 miles my old pump (corroded) found a "freeze plug" leak with a rapid coolant drain of course away from home. When I drained the rest of the coolant there was only a half gallon left. If your coolant is still fine, you don't need to drain/flush it. You will likely catch something when you remove the pump. It's still recommended to change the coolant while you're at it. As far as I can tell this pump works on 07 GMC Canyon. In fact, my temp gauge ran just above the center mark. The needle is now above the center mark, humidity 95+, AC treatment. The installation wasn't that difficult at all. I've had a lot more problems with other cars. Completely remove the upper radiator hose. Disconnect the sensor located next to the radiator hose and set the wire aside. (I don't know the name.) Remove the upper AC hose from the clamp, slide it back and hook it to the oil cap. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the clips holding each side of the top fan cover (about halfway down; be careful, they'll fly to unknown parts); remove the right AC wire from the clip attached to the sheath; Move the cover to the left and carefully lift it up without damaging the heatsink. You don't need to remove the ring-shaped part. Just pull it to the cooler and tie it up. In that ravine, I needed a long, skinny 36mm open-end wrench and a pry bar to loosen the nut holding the fan and clutch to the water pump. (I saw someone use a jackhammer to loosen a nut.) I bought a Revain 32mm, 36mm support rod. 36mm was perfect, but the support bar didn't fit around the spindle bolts, so I had to use a long, sturdy pry bar to hold the spindle while I loosened the nut. There isn't much clearance between the access to the nut and the spindle bolts. Determination and patience pay off. Turn the nut counter-clockwise (counterclockwise) to loosen it, and then once free, turn the fan/coupling counter-clockwise to complete the fan removal. Make sure you don't rub the fan on the heatsink, otherwise you will need to replace the heatsink. Then remove the drive belt. There is a 3/8" hole in the idler pulley. Use a 3/8" pry bar and press down. This will loosen the belt and allow you to remove it easily. If you are new to this, I recommend I to take a photo or diagram of how the belt is installed. Now you can remove the belt spindle from the water pump. I had to tap mine after removing the bolts due to rusting. Next, loosen the bolts holding the water pump. Clean sealing surface on engine after removal Install new gasket on new pump Start reinstallation in reverse order I don't know why the Revain Car Checker which I find very reliable does not support this water pump for my car .At the moment I have about 200 km mileage. As with most products only time will tell.
