This filament is amazing

This is my first experience with ABS filament and I have to say I am amazed at how amazing it was. Natural color is perfect. for painting (I use dry pigments mixed with nail polish as abs can be loosened/melted with acetone and nail polish contains acetone most of the time. That or nail polish works well) and it also sands very well compared to PLA. Problems with the printing platform, I didn't use glue. All I had to do was adjust my printer settings by increasing the temperature to 220-225, lowering the base layer speed to 100 and making sure the bed calibration was near perfect. I also use duct tape for the build deck because it's cheap and works better. ABS sucks! So keep that in mind when printing. It doesn't compress by a ton, but tends to grab and lift the tape on the bed. It's also more brittle compared to PLA so I wouldn't recommend it for industrial parts etc but it's great for action figures.

Pros
  • eSUN ABS filament for 3D printer vacuum packed and sealed with desiccant
Cons
  • Some little things
