Keyless lock required because woman cannot turn doorknob by hand due to health reasons. It installs easily, but the instructions aren't really very clear. I returned the first one because I thought it was defective because the metal part in the middle simply twisted without jamming, meaning the door could not be opened from the outside. When the replacement came I found that this wasn't a defect but the way the door locked from the outside. It would be helpful if the instructions were clearer. The second install went fine, but the fingerprint and code programming is clumsy. I had to do a factory reset several times before everything worked. That being said, I just entered the house and it took three attempts to use the fingerprint to open the door. All in all, I'm still not sure if this will work as advertised, but I'm hoping it will. A great idea just needs a little customization. I'm adding this after using this door lock for over a month. Keep in mind that it is extremely frustrating that the fingerprint option almost never works. Luckily you can still open the door with the code, otherwise you stay outside (unless you have the key with you). I would definitely return this door lock if I could. I strongly recommend you buy a branded lock even if it costs a little more. It doesn't really work as described.
