It worked for what I needed

My dog was bitten between the paws by a spider and developed a large pus-filled pimple. The vet drained it but my dog wouldn't leave the foot alone and they recommended putting a sock or boot or head cone on her until it healed. I didn't want my dog to suffer from a head cone and have trouble eating, seeing and walking. So I ordered a dog medical boot and these socks. The boot was too light for her to push off her foot. These socks performed better and lasted longer. They come with velcro that you can use to secure the sock, but obviously you can't over-tighten the velcro. My dog didn't walk at first and kept kicking his paw to take it off. It held up well, but eventually she was able to pull it off by kicking until the sock and Velcro came loose and she was unable to take the sock off. I worked with her to walk in the sock and played with her to distract her from the sock. She has learned to leave it alone and just go through life in a sock. But when left alone, she would kick and try to get off. In short these socks work well and I was able to train my dog to wear socks there but if your dog is not supervised he can take the sock off. They held up well and my dog just walked. This is what I imagine most pet owners would buy them for. They worked great on vinyl wood floors and tile which my dog has found slippery in the past.
