Used it on my Sportster ('89, 883) for the first time today and it seems like the adjustment screw is pulling against the pressure plate housing. It didn't land in the right places to relieve the locking ring. I ended up breaking the pressure plate case before realizing it wasn't working properly. Now I've got a useless puller and a broken pressure plate and I need the right puller to put it all back together. Hope this saves someone trouble.
