I bought this lipstick because I was looking for a water based lipstick with a strong hold. I have thick hair and I usually wear it cut short with the top section folded to the side (meaning you have to hold the hair tight for it to work together). The good news is that this lipstick does it beautifully. In fact, I like the way the hold looks. However, that's probably the only thing I like about it. In my opinion, lipstick dries too much. It feels too gel-like, which is the only reason I wear lipstick *instead* of gel. However, this is not a deal breaker in itself. In fact, if this was my entire review here I would give it 4/5 stars and wear it to work tomorrow. I don't, and here's why: the scent is VERY strong. Gentlemen, you don't want your scent to come from what you're wearing in your hair. Especially if it's a strong scent. Ideally, that's what cologne is for, and you're wearing it *under* your clothing for some reason (e.g. exposure to body heat, etc.). If you want to know why, this stuff is a classic example. Although the aroma is not bad at first glance, it causes nausea during the day. Worse, it's on your hair — you can't hide it or get away from it. All day I literally haven't felt anything but this lipstick - even my cologne doesn't. They've gone too far with the scent and it makes it almost unbearable for everyday use. While the performance of this product is top notch, the scent is just too strong to make it suitable for everyday use. Product. If you want my advice, skip this one and look for something similar with less or no scent.
