Review on ๐Ÿš— Complete SPTA 29pcs Drill Buffing Pad Detail Polishing Kit for Car Sanding, Polishing, Waxing, Sealing Glaze by Dennis Brinson

Good value for money, good for paint correction/polishing

I bought this kit when I was finishing correcting/trimming paint (light orange peel, dusters etc) on a freshly painted car project after wet sanding, and He had to get into many hard-to-reach places to polish parts. While the car was painted with a one-step urethane, these pads will also work with a clear coat. First, the adapters work well and are sized as described. If your DA polisher (I use a Porter 7424 cable) uses a 5/16-24 threaded back-up pad, this will work and you can use that polisher with this kit. Remove the counterweight on the rotating head for smaller pads if you are having trouble controlling oscillation while buffing. Save the weight and screws and reinstall when using the 6" pads again. I use a threadless drill adapter in small areas where I can't use large polishers. While the pads don't fit. Does not come with a guide to your coloring/cutting speed, the listing includes an image showing a coarse to fine gradient. Take a screenshot and save it for future reference. If all else fails, use this: GYOBR Coarse to Fine Polish (Green-Yellow-Orange-Blue-Red). If all else fails, compress them. If they are dense/hard they will cut more than they will polish. The softer they feel, the more they polish. I use a gentle touch to remove them, just squeezing the velcro to gently lift them off the hook side of the support pad. You'll have to develop the technique a bit if you expect them to last. Pulling on the foam will only tear them, wash/rinse after use but don't soak for long, put in the mop bucket, squeeze out the cutting or polishing paste, and rinse and dry to work the next day. Soaking affects their durability, as do some of the other, more expensive pads I use for waxing and buffing. I have used this set continuously for the past 4 days of receipt and have no complaints. The smaller 1 inch discs are not as thick as the other pads. So if you need to put some pressure on them to get them to cut and buff, you'll have to be patient, but they work. I carefully examined each block. before use by reading reviews reporting problems with the adhesive. I wanted to make sure the backing pad interface was solid and that there weren't any marks on the cutting or buffing pads that could leave marks on the paintwork. My order was perfect I can see where they are, can do another coat of paint in another restoration project before I need to replace them but I've been in the same place before with more expensive recent systems so I'm not at all disappointed with their performance, especially considering its price. The 2" and 3" pads are of good thickness and density for their intended use and seem to be holding up well so far. I would definitely buy again.
