I am so amazed by all the negative reviews for this product! We've been using it for 2 years now and we love it. We live in Alaska and many friends have bought the same device so we can take our dogs to each other's homes without fear of all the dogs running into the woods or onto the street. Sometimes we had up to 8 dogs using the device at the same time. Our dog walks, but not now that we have this device. When we first got him we took him through the marked area to show him where to go. Of course, when we first let him go, he was DELETED, but BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-SHOCK never came out. We moved from one part of Alaska to another and hooked this unit up to our truck (using a regular truck inverter), changed it to 100ft and put it in the parking lot. When he hears the beep, he realizes he's gone too far. Perfect size device. We take it to a friend's house, plug it in and run it, we take it to a bar, plug it in and run it. We are now in our new home and after so many months of use it knows its limitations and sometimes goes without a collar. About a year later, our first device stopped working. We called customer service and the second one was sent. It was difficult to get free two-day shipping, but since I live in an area where a dog might get trapped (and he had already lost his paw because of it), I was able to persuade her to do so. I would highly recommend this device to anyone and everyone. It has changed the lives of our dogs! He's such a happy dog, off the leash. FREE! When I take him out of his zone, I say "stay close" and he won't leave his zone without me. The only downside - don't forget to switch it off when driving!
