The light is a typical trailer light housing. The case is NOT sealed so water can get inside the case, but the circuit boards containing the LEDs and connectors are sealed so they should withstand water immersion with ease. The screws that come out the back of the lights are NOT stainless steel (although they advertised stainless steel fasteners), WILL rust and CANNOT be replaced. It also comes with crimp connectors which are also NOT marine grade and will fail over time due to corrosion. I don't give a damn about connectors, I use my own marine grade anyway, but cheap zinc plated bolts cast into waterproof epoxy filled taillights show impressive stupidity on the part of the manufacturer. If they weren't trying to save a dime by using 4 cheap screws I would give them 5 stars.
