The keys on my laptop are starting to have issues .A few require some extra prodding and a few will double-strike by themselves .I figured I should get a backup keyboard before a major failure occurred .I like the fact that the mouse and keyboard have built in rechargeable batteries .I would often need to remove and replace the AA battery in my old mouse when it just decided the battery was not to it's liking or something .Same battery - out , and then right back in .At first I wasn't too sure about this multicolor keyboard but I quickly adapted to it and it does look pretty groovy .I had purchased a keyboard without backlighting prior to this because I didn't think I needed the backlit keys .I had not considered the amount of illumination provided to the laptop keyboard by the monitor .Overall , nothing bad to report about this keyboard / mouse combo .The keys make the "old-school " clicking sound when operating , unlike the laptop keys , so that might be something to consider if that will be an issue for you .
