Haven't had them in a while so technically I've only washed them once (in the washing machine) but I've rinsed them and even hand washed them a few times, roll them empty before using them again. I love her! I was so overwhelmed by all these wonderful uses that I had to resist the temptation to write down everything I used them for! Like others I lost a few before the roll ran out, probably accidentally thrown them out of habit out of habit, but I still have 17 so it's not too bad. (And yes, I've shamelessly gone through all the bins to try and find them all!) I love them SO much! When I ordered them I was just trying to reduce waste. I figured I would use them like paper towels and then wash and reuse them for as long as possible until they need to be replaced. I don't even use paper towels that often, but for some jobs you just can't use a paper towel. For example, I can't imagine my freshly fried taco shells lying on a regular towel to soak up the grease. What I didn't realize before ordering is that they are good for MUCH more! It's embarrassing, but I'll say it anyway. My vertical blinds were absolutely gross. I started with a washcloth but I had to rinse it out between EACH shade because they were so dirty. Each wipe I made after applying one shade only wiped away the dirt on the next. So I threw away the paperless towel. A regular paper towel wouldn't be strong enough to withstand the amount of cleaner I sprayed on or the intensity it takes to wipe away years of dirt, but it was AMAZING! I don't get the magic, but I managed to get 3 or 4 shades off before I had to rinse it out and start over. And they are SO absorbent! The washcloth I tried literally dripped dirty water (and kitchen cleaner) onto the floor, but it kept running! Even soaked to the bone, they kept soaking! My vertical blinds cover the double glass doors to the balcony, so it's two doors wide and almost floor to ceiling. I had to spray EACH shade down the ENTIRE length to get it clear. (I tried cheating and not spraying everyone, but it didn't work.) I also used one to buff the polish on my leather couch (I'm vegan, but I used it, so it doesn't count). And I keep the glasses. Know you can't apply Goo-Gone to fabric because it won't work and need a cotton swab or paper towel to remove label adhesive? They are great for that too! I LOVE these things! To be honest I didn't read the ad very carefully because I didn't know there were burrs on a reel, but I'm sure I'll put them to good use (I kept forgetting about them until the first reel was Shot). Second hand). The reason I chose this brand over others is that most others are not strong enough to be machine washed. I don't mind hand washing them, it's just that others can't be that strong if they can't handle it and I'm glad I ordered THIS because I ended up putting them in the put the washing machine in. after all! I know others have said they put theirs in the washing machine with other towels and washcloths, but I was too scared of missing one (or more) and accidentally drying them out. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I dried a few, but I just don't want to shorten their lifespan any more than necessary (which is why I decided to hand wash them). I don't know how much I've done for the environment by wasting a small amount of water and energy washing them in the washing machine, but I've waited until they were ALL dirty, I mean DIRTY, so that helps a little bit. I also reused most of them before I found them dirty, so I've already saved what would have easily been two or maybe three rolls of good quality paper towels. I used one to go through my entire apartment to disinfect all my light switches and doorknobs, but I got carried away and started cleaning window sills, the outside of trash cans, and anything that got in my way. I washed it with dish soap and again wish I picked it up! When I was done, this thing was BLACK (have you looked under your fridge that long?) and it was COMPLETELY WASHED! Next time I download I'll use convex so it's not such a waste (btw the convex doesn't fit my paper towel holder, not that it's a big deal, I just keep it under the sink), but maybe then I feel like washing them by hand, or maybe I'll muster up the courage to put them in with other towels and washcloths. Adding grommets in the corners so I can hang the bouquet on a hook in the kitchen. I don't know how they will hold up after breaking, but if I try I will report the results of this experiment.
