Extremely efficient. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it worked very well. The grinding wheel is made of heavy steel, so it has stability and inertia similar to a flywheel, making the grinding process smooth and precise. Overall, the construction is very solid, so you can put a little muscle into it if you need to. It is designed for 45 degree angles, but it is easy to remove and attach the wooden rail to a steel table at any angle. I've used this a lot with oak and the sandpaper holds up well with the included cleaning block. A really useful tool if you don't have space or don't want to make noise from a disc sander.
