The second one is better than the first but still has a not quite flat table surface. The upper appears to be made of two parts that aren't perfectly connected and have a slight indentation in the middle. The first was really bad, causing the moldings to wobble and not get a precise edge. The first also had a grinding wheel that didn't spin perfectly. The replacement is better but there is still a 0.5mm sink and the moldings still tend to wobble but can be stabilized with some downward pressure

Extremely efficient. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it worked very well. The grinding wheel is made of heavy steel, so it has stability and inertia similar to a flywheel, making the grinding process smooth and precise. Overall, the construction is very solid, so you can put a little muscle into it if you need to. As another reviewer here noted, the table is in two parts that join together in the middle and apparently the table wasn't flattened after the two parts were joined. I sent the first one back as it had a very noticeable 0.022"/0.559mm sink in the middle. To make matters worse, the paneling at the front was higher than the level of the table, which allowed more clearance.
