Makes delicious iced coffee - love the filter, doesn't take up much space

I love iced coffee! No stomach acid and only caffeine. And oooh. victory/win. When I saw this cold brew coffee maker I decided to give it a try. This cold brew coffee maker is made in China and is made of plastic. All of that. It disassembles into MANY parts for cleaning, which allows for a good cleaning. I put mine in the dishwasher and it worked great. The middle core that holds the coffee is the best I've seen as the bottom part unscrews so I can use the handle of a wooden spoon to push the coffee grounds straight out and a few jabs and the floor is gone. I really like this design. I have found that filling the filter with about 3/4 of the grind and pouring water into the coffee filter on top of the ground coffee does an excellent job of getting the coffee wet and brewing. Then screw the lid on and leave in the fridge overnight, and in the morning - Nirvana! It's not a big round container, but rather flat on the sides, making it easy to place on a shelf or in a drawer in the fridge. I have a door shelf. Saves a lot of space! If it tips over, it doesn't crumble and is pretty much indestructible, which I really like. In a perfect world, I'd love to have a glass carafe, but I'd break it sooner or later, so this is a good option for me. laterally and does not leak. Not so. In Photo 3 above you can see that there will definitely be a leak. Not a huge amount, but if you leave it overnight there's definitely a mess in the morning. To pour, simply flip the top out of the way so the lid is off the spout and pour in your black gold. uhh. The coffee grounds do not get into the coffee. Good design. First, brewing a cup of coffee takes some time because with this method, if the coffee grounds don't get into the cup, they tend to flow out slowly. It would be quicker if I just took the lid off and the filter out, but I prefer to leave the filter in. I just leave the ground coffee in the filter until the coffee runs out, so it keeps brewing until the coffee runs out. I haven't found the flavor affected by anything other than getting stronger. I fill my cup about 1/3-1/2 full with this delicious treat, then add 5 French Vanilla Cream of Coffee Mate (I prefer a large, non-refrigerated pitcher with a pump) and top up with milk. For me the perfect cup. Nyammers! The above method gets me coffee for a week - your mileage may vary. Recommend.
