This outlet works fine. It's not very durable, but the plastic seems to be of good quality. Might be a little brittle in very cold temps, I'm not going to rock it and smack the pavement just to find out. The metal part is thick enough to feel solid, but there's nothing stopping it from bending at the top if you pull the cord very hard. Screw terminals are best for solid wire. I used stranded wire so before inserting I crimped the tabs from short lengths of copper tubing onto the wire. Knockouts require 3/4" or 1" relief when hitting a large ring. All in all this is a good kit for making extensions or adapters for your welder. Am I going to run this at 50 amps for years? Probably no. But for weekend use in one circuit, 30 amps will be enough for a long time.
