Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Topeak Alien II Multi Tool: Your Ultimate All-in-One Solution for Any Bike Repair by Jeffrey Nunes

The aliens are here.

This is a very handy compact multi tool kit. I've had one before, but I left it in a warehouse on the islands. Now I have to buy another one as I live on the west coast. Basically, I copy and buy the same instruments that I left at home. So I can tell from experience why this Topeak alien tool is so cool. Yes there are many other multi tools like Crankbrothers, Specialized etc. I prefer the Topeak Alien as it has a good tool kit for repairs when I'm not in civilization. Yes, other tools can do the same, but Alien has a few more tools than most other brands. It's a bit heavier, but that's only because it has a more diverse tool set, as opposed to, say, a 15-function tool that weighs less. Those who do XC racing will likely be entitled to carry a lighter tool. Weight isn't a factor with what goes in my hydration pack, but having the right tools to get out of a bad situation pretty much justifies the weight, which I don't consider heavy at all. It comes with a nylon pouch to put the tool in and I think the tool is a winner in its price range.
