Review on 🔧 Dorman 917-992 Engine Oil Filter Bypass Valve for Compatible Models (OE FIX) by Patrick Nepal

2013 Jeep jk. 76,000 miles. I went for a "scheduled" oil change and heard a strange popping sound as I removed the oil filter cap. I ordered this part but still had to go to work. I did a little research and found that you can still drive it as this part is designed to bypass the flow of oil when the filter is clogged. I knew it wasn't fully filtered since the bypass is mostly open when it's removed, but I put new oil and filter in and figured it would be safe for a few miles to and from work. The item arrived the next evening, took 5 minutes to install. Thank you Dorman!
