To this day I have never been disappointed with a Shark Bite brand. I don't mind paying extra for quality...but this one fell short. I pulled the tub/shower valve assembly as I couldn't identify the dripper. Used this fitting to attach a water hose to Pex for testing. It was a little harder than usual... I knew it was different, but it was the only one I had. So I put it on, the problem was the distance as you can see. (blue Pex) Pex needs to be replaced. It's ok since I got it off the wall. But if he were in a less accessible place... it would be worse. And yes, I used the correct removal tool. It just didn't resolve. This is the only bad example of a shark bite I've ever received...usually an easy 5 stars.
