I'm an old auto tech (CMAT etc.) I bought this as my new 'quick and dirty' scanner which we use most of the time to diagnose engine lights not a latch for Pocket $3500 or Autel who need more time. I didn't expect miracles from this scanner. But the first car I hooked it up to was my 2005 GF's BMW 325i to check the emissions sensors because it was smog and I just replaced a faulty coil. Well it showed only 1 monitor ready, all other monitors are "NA"! i was crazy So I read it well on some Toyota and Chevy vehicles I think. Honda Odyssey with Check Engine Light showing "No Stored Codes"! I also think Ford will not read codes on another car with MIL enabled. I tried to update it with my Dell laptop but it didn't work. I can try a better laptop. By the way, I'm not an idiot, I've been beta testing new scanners for a company I won't name for 5 years. This scanner is so unreliable. I don't understand all the hymns of praise. MAYBE I JUST HAVE AN UNPROGRAMMED BOM SCANNER. Oh, I didn't mean to scream, but I'm going.
