We bought two. I like that they can get out of the way. I love how sturdy they are because they definitely keep our 100lb Alaskan Malamute from getting past them. What I don't like about them is how much effort it takes to unlock and re-lock them. I always have my hands full when I have to pass. So I hold all the stuff I'm holding (think "mom's putting a few things away at once", kinda full) and my cup of tea, and then try to use brute force with my awkwardly full arms and hands to try to open this thing is sooo annoying. BUT we needed something to hold the massive doll down and as it is so tight it works very well for this purpose. When my arms aren't so full, it's not such a pain. The locking mechanism is not complicated at all. This is literally just aligning two hooks with two loops. It's just hard with arms that are too full. If I just had a baby in my arms, it wouldn't be a problem at all. 😉 All in all these are fantastic goals and both work very well.
