I like this idea. But it was a little awkward to install. Not sure if this is just my stairs but it didn't work for me because the top of the baseboard and the bottom get in the way. Damn

This gate is very easy to install and works great. I wish it could have been taught a little more as our child thinks he is a toddler and loves to lean against him and see us in the kitchen with his face against the net but it held up.

Make sure to screw it into the hairpin. The fasteners included in the kit will not remain in the wall leaving large holes in it. Not very suitable for pets as our dog chewed it through. In addition, both hands are required for operation. The tension is good, so one-handed operation is not possible.

I bought this on purpose because we have an odd room that needs a baby gate. That works great. It also comes with all types of seals for use around door frames and the like. Even if the installation was a bit fiddly. It's actually stronger than I expected. I use it to control my 1 year old. My 3 year old can open it but not close it again and my 6 year old has no problem opening and closing it. I would also like to get a second one for the stairs.
