This unit was solid and reliable. I bought the first one and its performance was enough to keep buying and installing them. So far I have one in my 1952 Ford 8N and also in my 640. Although the switch has a circuit to energize the starter solenoid I have not used it. Bypassing the original starter safety switch on these tractors is a huge mistake. It prevents the tractor from starting when a gear is engaged. But as an ignition generator it works perfectly. I will install them on my garden tractors when needed. Oh, and I used a momentary starter circuit to power the horn of all things. If someone tries to steal it, they will tell themselves.
