This purchase is mainly for connecting silver/black Seagate backup drives to the MBP. The connection to the drive's USB cable is very secure and connects and disconnects effortlessly, even if you pull on the cable. I think they are pretty durable for their lightweight feel. I also like that it's a one piece body which means this thing doesn't come apart as far as I can see. The duo package is a plus as I will be traveling with one and keeping the other at home. Finally, the tint on these adapters is a bit darker than the MacBook Pro's silver body, in my opinion. It's not that noticeable, so it looks good to me. I think if you had a space gray MBP the contrast would be clearer. But the way I envision it, it probably wouldn't be too hard to watch either. Overall, I'm glad I made this purchase.
