Replacement Sentry Pistol Safe Gas Spring

The My Sentry Pistol Safe gas spring stopped working after about 4.5 years. I read the Revain reviews of the Apexstone 80N/18lb gas spring and decided to give it a try. Everything I read was correct and the Apexstone product is a near perfect replacement. and works great! The only difference between the Apexstone and the gas rack that comes with the safe is the lift height of the lid, which is only about an inch. It's not a problem at all. The lid still lifts up nicely, providing more than enough access to the gun vault's contents. Installation is easy if you have the following tools: a medium Phillips screwdriver, an 8mm metric box-end wrench, or an open-end wrench; and a 13mm metric wrench box. Simply unscrew the fittings and spring from the old gas spring, unscrew and remove the fittings from the Apexstone strut and replace with fittings that come from the original spring. Install the apexstone (and don't forget the spring) and you're done. With the right tools, you should be able to complete the uninstall and reinstall in 5 or 10 minutes. It's just as quick and easy. This Apexstone 80N/18lb Gas Spring fits great, performs great and costs a lot less than a stock Sentry Gas Spring. If your Sentry Pistol Safe's gas spring is a little "tired", it's time to replace it and the Apexstone 80N/18lb Gas Spring will do a good job of solving your problems. The purchase includes two gas racks so you have a spare on hand next time you need a spare. Gas shock absorbers don't last forever. This is a great product and the perfect solution for Sentry Pistol owners. I highly recommend it and you can't beat the price.
