The Garmin Map Pilot Navigation SD card works exactly as advertised.

I was concerned that the SD card would not work in my 2018 Mercedes GLC 300. It is important that you know the production date of your vehicle. You can find out when your vehicle was manufactured by going to DataMB.com and then entering your Mercedes VIN. Mine was built before July 2017 so I ordered a map for this year. I got the SD card and installed it. I started the car and then selected NAV. An SD card was detected and a message appeared on the display stating that this card is only used in this vehicle. I answered yes and the installation process completed. So far it has been working great for 2 months.
