My problem wasn't with the antenna itself. After installation it looked great. As soon as I realized the signal strength was sucking, I removed it. The included anti-theft device (which was junk and you can still unscrew/steal by hand) glued the base threads together. I had to use a channel lock to reinstall the factory antenna and no it doesn't have cross threads. I now have a 3/4" open thread spacer on the new antenna because there is so much threadlock left. It's just a DUMB idea to put something like this on a product if it should be left to discretion or as a recommendation to the customers to carry it themselves.
