You will definitely need this tool when replacing timing components on Ford 3V engines. The forks bend fairly easily if you misalign the valve spring. They are easy to bend with pliers, keep them handy as you will be using them a few times. When removing the original 6 roller tappets to neutralize the cams, I had a hard time with the exhaust valve on cylinder 8. I had to install and reinstall the tool 5 or 6 times before I realized I could just spin the motor to take more pressure off the spring. Coming back with all 24 commercials was a chore. I ended up cutting fingers off a pair of old gloves so I could still manipulate the tool without tearing my hands by twisting the handle down. A highly recommended tool.
