I want to give this charger 5 stars but can't. Forever. This charger is very small. The pins fold down and the cable detaches from the charger, making it very compact. It also has a higher amperage USB charging port which is great for running. Now for the bad. It just randomly and often stops loading. The solution is simple. Disconnect and reconnect to Surface Pro. But if you walk away and intentionally leave something on, chances are you'll come back with a Surface device that shuts down automatically because it was on battery power because the charger just decided to stop charging. UPDATE January 17, 2019, upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars Customer service contacted me and sent a replacement unit. This new block didn't work at all. Talking to them, we came to the conclusion that the thermal protection of the device is triggered, which leads to its shutdown to prevent a fire. It's a nice feature, but it doesn't compare to other Surface Pro chargers I've bought. They fully refunded my purchase which makes me very happy. It was a risk free purchase.
