Review on πŸ”₯ OUTDOOR ELEMENT Firebiner: All-in-One Fire Starter, Carabiner, Multi Tool, and Emergency Accessory with Screwdriver Tip by Quintin Gore

Weak carabiner spring. Little sparks.

I bought this for work to keep my bags because I was sick of my regular hitter either getting hooked on things or just losing it completely because it won't stay closed in the promotional ring. It does the job but is difficult to use with gloves suitable for flame cutting. The spark it produces seems smaller than a regular firing pin and cannot easily ignite a rosebud unless you turn on the gas to ignite it, then increase it after it's ignited. The spring on the carabiner is rather weak and I don't think it will last very long. In short, this is a great backup hitter to take in your work backpack or something to take with you when your main hitter goes for a walk. I appreciate extra flints too, but because of the way they're packaged I know full well I'll lose them one day, so for now they live in a jar next to my washing machine that holds random bits and contacts. Tips from my work pants pockets. It's not perfect, but I'm definitely not mad at it, and several other colleagues have asked where to get it. I recommend this for people who hate not having the right tool handy, are students or maybe campers who need backup survival tools and the like. My only complaint, aside from the carabiner's lack of strength, is that the flat tip needs to be longer. If these two problems were solved I would recommend this to any welder I know in the field. A longer flat head would have helped with the Tweco swap/repair and a larger punch wheel would have really helped with that. Overall not a bad buy but not good enough to recommend to colleagues who I really like. Although this may be a heavier version. One star off for a weak carabiner spring.
