WARNING: Cracked screen on my brand new Surface Pro 7!

At first I was happy with this purchase. The keyboard and trackpad work well, and the hinges feel solid and adjust to any angle. Unlike the MS version, it works fine in my lap where I use it. HOWEVER, yesterday when I unplugged the Surface from the keyboard - carefully following the instructions, one loop at a time - the SCREEN of my new $2000 Surface Pro broke! Needless to say I am very unhappy. The crack started in the corner, but a day later it spread to the entire screen. Since I don't have Microsoft Complete and this was caused by a non-OEM product, Microsoft is charging $450 to fix it. So no, I do not recommend this keyboard! Edit: And now it doesn't close completely anymore. It looks like the keyboard is warped a bit from holding it on my lap, or maybe the hinges need to be tightened or loosened. When I close the Surface and keyboard it definitely leaves a 1/2 inch gap in the hole so it doesn't feel as secure as it should with a lid. Edit 2: I've now learned how to toggle the Brydge keyboard on and off. without damaging the screen. Place Surface and keyboard on a table with the keyboard hinges fully open and slide Surface onto the hinges. Thus, the likelihood of the surface rotating easily is greatly reduced. like mine broke. Also, one of my hinges broke while I was traveling. Since it was still under warranty, Brydge sent me a brand new keyboard, no questions asked, and the new one works fine. So customer service is good. I add a star. If you follow my advice on turning the keyboard on and off, this could be a good buy. I also get a case to ensure the keyboard and surface are held tightly together so they don't warp this time.
