I used the Hudson Hi-Fi Bubble Gel and brushed my teeth before trying the ultrasonic cleaner. The gel does a pretty good job, but the ultrasound seems to clean the pen extra deep. I looked at my stylus before cleaning and afterwards with an increase. I see a nice, clear and clean diamond point. I find it removes more than one gel and is very easy to use. Considering the cost of this device compared to the next available $150 device, that's a lot. One thing I encountered was liquid. Carbon fiber brush pad on which the needle sits, the liquid will not go into the brush by itself. At first I thought that as soon as I start the device and put a needle on it, the liquid will evaporate. This didn't happen and I noticed a drop of liquid on the pen. I had to squeeze the remaining liquid onto the brush and repeat the cleaning. Since then I make sure to apply the cleaning liquid to the pad and it hasn't happened again.
