First off, it's important to know why you're buying that expensive headset. The reason is that you can work from home or in a small office and still want more mobility. I don't have a landline (copper or VoIP) at home. However, this headset system works with a landline, Bluetooth and USB connection connected to a computer. The vast majority of home workers (post-COVID) need to be able to communicate using multiple methods. Office workers usually need to use their mobile phone and access communication through their computer via Skype, Webex, Zoom, MS Teams, etc. This way you can do all of this. VOIP phone you can use all the features of this headset. (As a side note, research the Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) before doing anything with a landline phone, including VOIP, as you'll likely want to take calls from your headset.) An interesting feature is the ability to switch between any of the 3 modes switch. Now the question most want to know. How far can I get from the base unit? I have 5000 square meters. I can walk around anywhere in the house, yard, or yard with ease, so this is the answer. Your mileage may vary. I also wanted to be able to attend phone calls, webinars or web conferences and be able to go to the kitchen, use the bathroom or just sit in a more comfortable chair. In other words, don't get trapped next to my phone or computer! Well, with this headset I can do that. What I really like is the ability to hit the mute/mute button when I need to talk, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. As someone who's worked part or full from home for 30 years, I've learned to always "mute" unless he's speaking, and this headset delivers on that behavior with ease. It has a confirmation chime that goes on periodically when the audio is muted, but your brain will learn to ignore that chime if you don't hear it to confirm whether the audio is muted or not. Don't worry, it won't bother you in a week or so, and you'll be glad it's there, now that you might say I can get a Bluetooth headset with a mute function for a lot less than $350 . And that's true, but you will be connected via Bluetooth, not DECT. And when you connect via Bluetooth, you're no more than 30 feet away from your phone/computer. You can put your phone in your pocket and walk around with the headset. But you can't just join web conferences connected to your laptop. For the past year and a half I've been using the Jabra Evolve 65 to do just that, and before that I've been using the Jabra Evolve 75, which was driving me nuts because both ears were closed and I needed to hear ambient noise. Before that I had a Sennheiser Office Runner for 10 years, it was pretty darn cool, but it only needed a landline connection or a USB connection to a computer. I was looking for an Office Runner replacement that could connect all three ways and the LH370 does what it does by adding Bluetooth capabilities. Well if you've read this far you're wondering so I'll tell you the real secret here is I wanted to be able to leave my cell phone in my office but be able to walk anywhere in my house, Calling while I'm on the go is the most natural thing. Most Bluetooth-enabled headsets connect directly to your cell phone. This headset is different and this is what I was looking for because the Bluetooth connection is between the phone and the base unit. The headset is then connected to the base station via DECT and offers an incredible range. If you're looking for a headset that connects directly to your cell phone, this isn't the device. And it must be said that there are good reasons to connect directly to your mobile phone, since you can interact with it by adding participants, browsing things, switching between calls, etc. I'm not downplaying this possibility if you really want it to need. . But having worked remotely for 30 years, I can tell you that I rarely need these features all the time, and with this headset, when I need them, I can just go back to my office and do all these things without to interrupt the conversation. line: Nice lightweight high quality headset with 3-way connectivity with incredible range as it uses DECT. DECT is the best and only technology I know of to use a headset over long distances. Battery life seems good as I used the headset for 10+ hours all day, probably most of the 6 hours of real world use, and it never dropped below 3 bars (out of 4). But I charged it when I went to lunch. What needs improvement: 1) As far as I know, the headset freezes when talking on a mobile phone via bluetooth and pressing the button to switch to the computer's USB port or to the landline. This is a cell phone feature, not a headset. I have an iPhone 11 and it does NOT do this, it saves the call when I press the buttons on the base to switch between call sources. 2) The microphone boom looks a bit goofy in a video conference, is straight and goes off. It looks like a trucker headset but who really cares, 3) I was always hoping the designer would put a mute button on the boom and there would be an LED at the end of the boom that would turn green (when the line is open) and red (if mute). 4) It connects via USB, I think there might be a way to supply power via USB and omit the power adapter. 5) Now and then I get a slight "hum" in the headset, which was not the case with Office Runner. 6) Beware of "strings" on the small edges of the cardboard packaging, not noticeable at all.
