These luggage racks are extremely easy to assemble. In less than 5 minutes, use a small screwdriver to remove the clips on the OEM units (support the lift door first), they simply snap into place, done. They are slightly stronger than the OEM so the tailgate opens fully, however as lift increases the force required to close the tailgate increases. My wife is 105 pounds and can close it but it takes a little effort. Unfortunately, they're made in China, so I expect them to blow up and blow off the back door, but so far so good.
