dead on arrival - awaiting support

Update: After many hours of testing and debugging, tedious repackaging and shipping to UPS I sent the unit back to Wacom and they received it and sent me another one. Wacom support was very responsive and helpful. I will update when it works again. ------------- Let's get one thing straight. This display is a wonderful thing to use. But the Cintiq is actually two things: a display and an integrated tablet. The display works great. I had no problems with the display part. I was able to get the display to work via USB-C, HDMI, or Display Port. But the built-in tablet follows me. The first problem is set the parameters correctly. For example, on macOS, set security settings correctly. I followed the instructions and the install worked fine as long as you reboot before checking. But then a mysterious USB error occurs. The touch screen and pen tablet functions are controlled via USB. And that seems to be my problem. You may find it is not your settings but USB problem when you connect USB and even the USB ports on the monitor are not working. Even if your settings are correct, the software will simply say "Device not found". Wacom support was very nice and obviously concerned that my USB wasn't working. I've tried this on 3 different computers with lots of new cables and no luck. The display works, USB pen / touch does not. Here are a few key points I've found for knowing if your device is having USB issues, not software setup issues. we installed the software correctly (macOS security in particular) - the display works as expected, but - the Cintiq touch controls (top right) light up but don't work - you can't turn the touchscreen on or off - the USB of the Cintiq ports are disabled (left) and top right) - Cintiq software reports device not found. So I have a very expensive display that isn't working as it should and I'm working with Wacom to send it back for a replacement. And this thing ain't no light display that just fits in a box. It's huge and heavy and it's really a hassle to send it back. It takes hours to take it off the ergo stand and pack it back up. For the price they can do better. I have been using the Original Cintiq for over 10 years and have really enjoyed it. I hope this thing gets fixed and lasts for many years as $3,200 is a lot of money.
