Edit to add: A minor complaint after a few weeks of use. The little tab that holds the filter in place when you pay out used beans is too long. Another small step to wiping is when I wipe the top of the filter before attaching it back to the car. However, that hasn't stopped me from buying a second one as a backup if I destroy this one due to overuse. Now I do 4 to 5 cups a day. In addition, some reviews complain about the lack of foam. That's true for my first brews, until I've adjusted the degree of grinding of the beans. It's not a car. These are your beans. Try a finer grind setting and you get crema. First review: I can't say anything about the propellant. Don't use it, don't. My drink is Americano. First, I brew clear water while preparing my shots and mug. Not only do I have hot water ready to add to my shots, I also make sure the machine is clean before I brew my coffee. Once the water is boiling, I remove the lid and add water for my shots. While it's heating up, I put some hot water in my mug to melt the sugar, then put the beans in the machine and steep the shots. I always add more water than necessary. When my shots are done, I pour them into my cup, pay out the used beans, and then run the remaining water through the machine to rinse it out. The machine switches off and is disconnected from the mains. The carafe is rinsed and ready for the next use. I pour some more hot water into my cup, stir, add cream, pour out the remaining hot water, done. The perfect coffee for me! My last machine ran for a good 4 years and made 2-4 American espressos a day. It eventually broke when I had to move 5 times a year and had to keep it in a plastic tub instead of on the counter. It took some abuse to be boxed after each use before it died. I couldn't find that block to replace at the time. I had to buy a more expensive device. That other brand was SHIT! Even after a year I could smell the plastic heating up, sounded much louder, constantly burning me, and it took me several washes when it was new before I stopped smelling like plastic. It was like steam coming out of a lid instead of being cooked. When I saw that this device was back and cheaper than a few years ago, I immediately ordered it. The day it arrived I washed all the parts, wiped down the machine, set it up and only ran water 3 times before brewing coffee. Immediately, the machine did not fill my seat with noxious fumes. This other brand gave me all sorts of toxic reactions within the first month. Not this little beast. The first cup of coffee tasted just like my 4 year old Imuza did before she died. I didn't have the taste of "new plastic". There is no gas emission in the car. Coffee is my happy place, and another brand I dabbled with last year stole my joy. I'm so happy that this Imusa is back. I just hope it lasts as long if not longer than my first Imusa. I really want to buy a second one to have on hand as a backup so I don't have to deal with a more expensive crappy car again. Why not? The $30 machine lasted a good 4 years compared to the $60 machine which gave me daily problems for less than a year before I gave up.
