☕ IMUSA USA GAU-18202 4 Cup Espresso/Cappuccino Maker: Expertly Crafted Coffee at Home Review

I had an IMUSA espresso machine (model GAU-18202) for a little over a week and it stopped working. When I turn it on, the light comes on and then off again after a few seconds. This machine is a cheap machine made in China.

It's not the best espresso maker I've had, but it's compact and works well. Heats up quickly, evaporates quickly, easy to clean. My biggest gripe is that the steam wand is too close to the unit so there isn't much room to move the frothing jug, but overall this is a pretty minor issue.

I was looking for a replacement for what used to be a cheap pseudo espresso machine and this was my fourth attempt. This makes a warm (not hot) 10 ounce cup of drinkable strong coffee. I'm careful with the material it's made of. Whatever it is, it's painted to look like metal. If I can get use of this for a few years, that's a win! I somehow missed that the steamer was attached so that was a bonus when I unboxed it. I've never used it before and the first time I definitely had a huge mess, but the second time I was able to use it successfully without the mess. Now I've used it several times with no problems. It heats up very quickly and is very easy to use! And for the price I think it can't be beat. Even those that need to be downloaded manually or are more expensive. It's well made, it doesn't feel cheap and I like that

If you do not plug this kettle into an RCD socket you risk serious electric shock or death. The purpose of a GFCI socket is to protect people. This manufacturer confuses them. Edit to add: A minor complaint after a few weeks of use. The little tab that holds the filter in place when you pay out used beans is too long. Another small step to wiping is when I wipe the top of the filter before attaching it back to the car.
