In general, this is a good buy. The rod was too long to use on the shelf I wanted but the setup in the picture works great. I used to balance my laptop on a box of tissues, but now that it's on top, scaling throughout the day just got a lot easier. The laptop tray is great - it keeps the computer in place and has room for smaller systems. In general, the arm is quite long. that it adds some hesitation. I'm typing on the computer that's in the picture, so the shaking isn't too bad. Almost perfect for the price!
