I love this mount! I installed it on the side table slot in my chair to use as a mount for my iPad. I am an avid reader and use Kindle Unlimited. I can read from my iPad using the Kindle app. This mount is perfect for me. It seemed to have the flexibility to work in my laptop holding application. He does what I need. However, the last hinge has some play that causes the laptop to wobble. I have tightened the screw as much as possible, but there is still play. The laptop is secure so I'm not worried, but I have to get used to the slight movement when typing.

the quality is very good and easy to use. I use it with a 15" MacBook Pro and it works flawlessly. I clip it to my bedside table and just carry the laptop to my bed or my trainer. Can't recommend it highly enough :)

I bought this stand to put my laptop next to a CNC milling machine. While this seems like a good idea, I ran into a few problems. First, it is very thin and unstable. Working on a laptop is difficult as it moves around a lot. Whenever I open the lid of the laptop, the entire laptop pops right out of the spring-loaded side clips that are supposed to secure the laptop to the stand. I plugged the remote key into the USB port covered by the clamp and it works. And I use a large paper clip to surround the volume and power buttons to allow the clip to do its job while keeping the computer on and the volume on/up. I've tried flipping the laptop but the clamps are still there, interfering with the ports and buttons on the side of the laptop. Other than that, it's a great mount. In general, this is a good buy. The rod was too long to use on the shelf I wanted but the setup in the picture works great. I used to balance my laptop on a box of tissues, but now that it's on top, scaling throughout the day just got a lot easier. Works as advertised, very sturdy and looks good. It has no problem to support 17 inch laptop. However, after using it for about 5 months, I encountered a small catch. The rubber grips that hold the laptop in place have become loose over time. The glue used must be cheap.
