I was familiar with this type of medical freezer thermometer for vaccines, so when I bought a new home food freezer and couldn't find a thermometer that looked like it a task I thought of this guy. I have two freezers in my basement with different thermometers; this one causes less leakage/frosting than the other and is much easier to read. I like the length of the cord and the size of the display. I think that's right - maybe even more so than my other one, which almost always says -13 degrees in the freezer. I'll replace that one with one of these.
